Availabel Politicians

Posted by hardyberlin on 19th August 2008

During the time when Gerhard Schröder was the chancellor of Germany, he called Putin a „flawless democrat“. Well, it is not surprising, that he is still thinking the same. He is on Putin’s payroll with his job at Gazprom(and he only got it, because he helped him with the pipeline), so it’s really no wonder what he is saying about Russia’s invasion of Georgia.

He only blames Saarkashvili for the war, the poor Russians only had to defend themselves. The leaders in Moscow are peaceful, they never wanted any kind of military confrontations.

Well, if he would say anything different, he might would loose his good payed job. And he is getting a lot of money for it.

Mr. Schröder, everyone who has enough money can buy you, you are an available, motherfucking asshole. I would say, that you have sold your soul to the devil, if I would believe in one, you betrayed the democracy and the peace. Everybody who destroys you is a hero in my eyes.

And if anyone don’t believes it, he only has to take a look at that what the Russians are doing in Georgia and South Ossetia right now. Like installing SS-21 nuclear-missiles.

Well, one U.S. Congressmann already called Schröder a "political prostitute". In my eyes that’s right!

Georgia- Russia

Posted by hardyberlin on 13th August 2008

Both, Russia and Georgia, have a history of tensions, but the recent ones were sparked over a region called South Ossetia, which is seeking separation from Georgia.

For years there was a de facto autonomy, but after clashes with Georgian troops the democratically elected President of Georgia ordered the army to fight back and get the area under control.

Russia immediately responded, bombing targets, attacking small towns, driving the Georgian army out of South Ossetia and taking control of large swathes of territory deep within Geogia.

And all of that faster than it was possible under normal circumstances.

It gives many different opinions about it. Media coverage which is sometimes pro-Russia, sometimes pro-Georgia. But if we take a look at the area there, how the streets in the mountains are going, so if we are takeing a closer look, we really have to wonder about the quick reaction of the Russian troops. Everyone who was in the military knows what I mean. The quick response of the Russians reminds me of: „Since 5:45 we are shooting back“

I didn’t want to write about it, because it is hard to get correct informations which are not filtered through political depended media. But if you know that Putin was a KGB-Officer, and that the Kreml don’t like the pipeline through Georgia because they can’t control it, and also that Georgia wanted to join the NATO… Here are a few links, think for yourself.

Robert Kagan, Washington Post , Califax , Die Zeit , and here the reaction of the leaders of five former Russian controlled countries, and always remember: they know Russia better than you do.

Update: An e-mail that I’ve got:

Dear Sirs/Madams,
I’m writing to you on the behalf of the KoLiber Society, a Polish conservative organisation.
As an organisation we are looking upon the situation in Georgia with anxiety. We want to express our strong objection against the actions of the Russian Federation, whose army violated the territorial integrity of the Republic of Georgia, which is an independent and sovereign country. We want to alert the international public opinion of the situation in Ciscaucasia and in Georgia.
On Sunday, August 10th in all big Polish cities we have organised mass-meetings expressing our support for the Georgian nation. We have also sent an open letter to the Ambassadors of both the Republic of Georgia and the Russian Federation and to the Minister of the Foreign Affairs, Mr Radosław Sikorski as well.
We would like to inform that we have made a website
www.gruzja.koliber.org

Our declaration is available there and it is possible to symbolically support Georgia by signing the letters. The site is currently in Polish, English, French, German, Spanish, Norwegian, and of course Russian.
We would to ask you to help us promote the site. We would like you to post a news on your site that would encourage people to visit our site and, if you have a newsletter, send the information via it, please.
We believe that you will get interested in the matter. Shall you have any question, do not hesitate to contact me.
I’ve attached a few basic information on our Society. If you share our ideas, please contact us: iac@kolber.org
Your faithfully,
Leslaw Sierocki

Air-Pollution and Smoking

Posted by hardyberlin on 5th August 2008

The air-pollution in Beijing is not a "big health risk" for the athletes, so a government speaker told us. Not a big one? So there is one, at least I understand this statement that way.

Like smoking and non-smoking? Or maybe passive smoking in a pub or bar? Who knows or will tell us the truth. At least one journalist from N24(non-smoker) said it’s hard outside the buildings, he feels it even after a short walk on his lungs and heart.

The poor athletes, visitors and journalists there. Nobody was nannying enough to stop them, preserved them from going there, no one protected them and their health. Like the government would do it here.

Here some people think, that non-smokers have to be protected from going into pubs where smoking is allowed. That they don’t have their own mind where to go to. Most of the restaurants and pubs are non-smoking places, only in about 30% smoking is allowed.

You think that I can’t compare the air-pollution at the Olympics with the smoke in smokers pubs? Maybe you’re right. But you better think twice.

Beijing Olympics- No Censorship???

Posted by hardyberlin on 4th August 2008

Excellent working conditions without any problems were promised to the journalists by IOC President Jacques Rogge. No problems with censorship or unfettered Internet access. The Olympics 2008 in Beijing will be a wonderful place of freedom and harmony. How Lovely.
But what is the truth? Well, let’s take a closer look. Foreign newspapers- two days old. No censorship? Can you access tibet-forum.com , gfbv.de , rsf.org and many others? Try it if you are planing to visit the Olympics! Or search for Falun Gong. Nothing!!!

Also some people from the invitation list have been withdrawn. Why that? Are they maybe not "comfortable" enough? Oh, by the way, even if you are writing about the Darfur crisis you are not "comfortable".
Excellent working conditions are looking different, at least in my eyes.

Monsieur Rogge, you deserve a kick in your ass from every journalist who has to work in China during the Olympics 2008!
For more info please read Radio Free Asia or others.
